Our Trip to Stourhead staying in a National Trust Cottage

Stourhead is a large country estate covering many acres of woodland, fields and

world famous gardens.

It is managed by the National Trust and there is a letting cottage by the lake where we based ourselves. It proved to be a great location to enjoy walks from the front door. I was joined by Sheila who is tackling the challenge of walking 1250 miles this year. The Spread Eagle Inn is just up the road and the church almost opposite – all part of the Estate along with the Grand Palladian  House open to the public.

I hope you enjoy the photographs and they encourage you to visit soon. I have arranged the pictures into sections so that you can get a flavour of what there is to see and do.

That's It - Thanks for looking.
