The Royal William Yard. Plymouth

Urban Splash Marketing states that this is the largest collection of Grade I Listed military buildings in Europe, steeped in history and lovingly brought into the modern era by Urban Splash. It is certainly a fascinating place to visit with many restaurants and ancillary businesses along with meeting rooms and offices and some privately owned flats.

There is a really interesting history of its use for naval victualling here.

I had set myself the challenge of photographing the award-winning staircase design which connects the Yard to the promontory known as Devils Point with its grand vista, beaches and historical connections.
