Thames Barrage

Whooppee!

That's the Thames Challenge sorted!

Many of you who have been following my recent travels will be aware of the Challenge that my late wife Jane, set me to walk The Thames Trail from one end to the other.

Covid arrived and the big continuous walk with friends became adjusted to walking substantial, key areas of the footpath and I have managed 142 miles out of the possible 200. I have been accompanied on every mile of the route by my companion Sheila and we have used up many days of holidays achieving the task.

In mid-November 2022 we reached the Thames Barrier having walked through London City and suburbs from Richmond upon Thames. elsewhere on this site are links to our walks from the river source in the Cotswolds, along the mid-section from Oxford to Marlow and the latest walk through London.
